Thank you for the mod, but unfortunately for me I can't use it right now - as one of my prime motivators for wanting additional hotkeys was to use the items from some of these mods (too many items, not enough hotkeys).15.

While it is NO way the responsibility for any mod author to make sure their new mod it compatible with the thousands of variations of other mods out there, maybe this can be a simple thing to account for in a future release it possible. I would be happy to give more details if necessary (I am familiar with this as I use this type of event in some of my mods, both for skyrim and F4).

I tested this with a couple of different mods and types of items that use this kind of event watching. Some examples include the spell rings from speed cast, the activator horns from the Vilja, and gear from the mod Way of the monk - extended edition. They are equipped, but the scripts on the items do not detect the event, and do not fire. All of these items work when using normal hotkeys, or manually equipping them. These are items you can equip (with hotkeys, or not) that trigger things to happen.Sometimes they don't have a slot - but many do.(I thought it was slot related at first, but it is not - as I changed some of the slots of some activator items and still nothing). (While I know that this mod does not use papyrus scripting, I am providing a link here for reference).

There seems to be an issue with mods that have items watching for an OnEquipped event from the game engine. Unfortunately, I found an issue for me (for me, and a couple of other mods) But if you always play with a controller, then this mod is probably not for you. The mod will automatically revert to the vanilla system in this case. However it won't break them either, so if you occasionally play with a controller, it will still work. This mod is obviously not made for controllers, as there is not really any benefit. It will allow you to map literally anything, so it's you responsibility to ensure that it doesn't conflict with other controls. Warning: The mod does not check for conflicts with existing controls. Whitelisted buttons don't need Ctrl to be pressed, and it will be 100% like the vanilla system. If you don't mind some configuring, you can also create a whitelist. So for example, if you want to set the F1 button as a hotkey, you press Ctrl + F1 when assigning it. This is necessary because the favorites menu can't tell the difference when you want to assign a hotkey and when you don't. Usage: Same as vanilla, but there is one extra step: you have to hold down the Left control when you assign the hotkey.

This is an SKSE-based hotkey mod that replaces Skyrim's hotkey system with a custom one, allowing you to use as many hotkeys as you want. Today I released a new mod for SE, Extended Hotkey System.
